What does the source say about the fact?
Global warming has had a more devastating effect on some of the world's finest coral reefs than previously assumed. Ocean surface temperatures are too high and are bleaching most of the oceans coral reefs.
Do you believe the source?
I'm not sure.
Why or why not?
I don't know why the surface tempatures can bleach the coral reefs so far away from the oceans surface.
Source 2:
Who is the source?
Stephanie Schlazer from the University of Florida.
What credentials does the source have?
none.
How credible is the source?
Its not because i was not told Stephanie's profession or study at University of Flordia.
What does the source say about the fact?
Coral reefs around the world are in danger. One of the causes is global warming, which has been increasing the temperature of the ocean water resulting in coral bleaching. This web page will focus on damage occurring to the Great Barrier Reef.
Do you believe the source?
im not sure.
Why or why not?
refer to what i said on the previous one for source 1.\

What does the source say about the fact?
Global warming poses to coral, by extension many ocean species.
Do you believe the source?
Not sure.
Why or why not?
I still dont know how the ocean surface tempature can affect the coral reefs thousands of feet below.
After you have checked your fact against at least three sources, state whether you believe the fact or not, and explain why you believe that.
Ive come to the conclusion that i do not believe this fact because for the fourth time i dont understand how the tempature of the surface affects the coral reefs so below.

Global warming is killing the polar bears
Source 1:
Who is the source?
Jim Carlton; Wall street journal staff reporter
What credentials does the source have?
How credible is the source?
What does the source say about the fact?
The source says the polar bears are dying because theyre drowning.
Do you believe the source?
Yes.
Why or why not?
I beleive it because it makes logical sense. The icebergs are melting so the polar bears have no place to rest and reproduce. They cant breed in the water.
Source 2:
Who is the source?
NWF's Senior Scientist, Doug Inkley.

How credible is the source?
What does the source say about the fact?
The polar bears and their nutritional status are decreasing and the ability to bear and raise young are almost reduced to nothing.
Do you believe the source?
Yes.
Why or why not?
It makes perfect sense, the polar bears are unable to eat and feed theyre young because the icebergs are thinning and eventually disapearing causing them no place to live but the water. They cannot swim forever.

What does the source say about the fact?
It says because of the rapid climate changes the ice is melting into nothing and the polar bears are becoming weak and unable to survive.
Do you believe the source?
Yes.
Why or why not?
Again, it just makes sense.
After you have checked your fact against at least three sources, state whether you believe the fact or not, and explain why you believe that.
Yes, i believe the fact because all three sources say its true and like ive been saying throughout the research of this fact, the information and assumption just makes sense.

Global warming is causing violent storms

What credentials does the source have?
This source has alot of credentials because it's from NASA which is the National Aeronautics and Space Administration.

What does the source say about the fact?
It says that the fact is true and that because of global warming there a violent storms spreading across the world.
Do you believe the source?
Yes and No.
Why or why not?
Yes because its from NASA and its a given that theyre right about this issue and no because i wasn't told WHY the warming of the earth is causing storms.
Source 2:
Who is the source?
Research Meteorologists at http://www.sciencedaily.com/videos/2009/0109-global_warming_causes_severe_storms.htm

What does the source say about the fact?
Research Meteorologists found that the temperature changes brought on by global warming are significant enough to cause an increase in the occurrence of severe storms.
Do you believe the source?
Again, yes and no.
Why or why not?
Yes because meterologists know alot about this stuff and no because again i wasnt told why global warming would cause this.

What does the source say about the fact?
It says that the reason for violent storms is because of global warming.
Do you believe the source?
no.
Why or why not?
None of these have told me WHY global warming causes violent storms.
After you have checked your fact against at least three sources, state whether you believe the fact or not, and explain why you believe that.
I do not believe the fact because i was not given a specific reason as to why global warming is causing violent storms, i cant even sum it up in my head as to why. It's just the earth heating up, how could that cause storms?

What does the source say about the fact?
This source shows the moving of the continenents from 225 million years ago.

What does the source say about the fact?

Yes.

I believe this source because I've done three now, and they have all said they same thing with a logical explanation.

I do believe the fact because it is scientifically proven and has really explanations why the continents moved and are still moving to this day.
